Some where over the rainbow.....

Well, I was getting use to the beautiful weather. And of course the weekend comes and the ugly weather is back. Will it rain?? Or just be ugly. I know we need it. But, really, couldn't it be ugly during the work week and be nice on the weekend???
So, this is one of the rare weekend we don't really have any exciting plans. My honey, bun, is not feeling so well. But, he won't admit it. I think later today we're meeting up with some friends at BJ's and then going bowling at Strikes. If all goes well.
This morning I'm just hanging out watching my birdies in the backyard. I love them. Their soo cute. Hungry little guys. Well, have a great weekend.
Oh, for those of you who follow this and also have a blog, could you email me your URL so I can follow you back. I think I figured that part out. :)

Spring is in the Air!

I'm loving this spring like weather. Beautiful Day.
So, a little bummed my neice never started a blog. But, happy to say my little Leigh-Ann started one. Soo happy to see her happy face on here.
Last weekend my sister, her husband and son were in town and we went up to the snow. Very cool that we were able to get together and play! Especially since it wasn't very long ago that she was hit by a drunk driver and it could have all turned out really different.
It was Chili's 1st time to the snow. He had a blast. We drove up to Kingsvale sled area. Us adults were more into the whole sled thing. Chili just wanted to play in the snow, make snowballs, eat snow, lay in it, just play! Things you love to do when your little. Then we drove up near Sugarbowl and hiked up to a Sierra Club Lodge. We had a lot of fun. There was a lot of snow, which made for cold fun filled day!
Well, to you fellow bunco players. Miss you guys. Don't have to much fun without me!

Grammy weekend

So, the grammy's are this weekend and Sara Bareilles is nominated for 2 grammy's. Pretty cool.

This is a pretty exciting time for my sister-n-law Monica. Its her neice. She was nice enough to take me with her to her hometown, where Sara put on a hometown concert. Really fun. Got to hang with her family. And kind of get a behind the scene look at how normal people really are. Her whole family are very nice people and super happy for her. So, we hope she does good this weekend at the Grammy's. Watch for her. Who know's, she may walk away with one of them. While I was there, I wanted to take tons of px's. But, didn't want to stand out. But I did manage to take a couple. Here is one of Her & I after the concert. We'll see if I do this right. I want to add more. But, still can't seem to figure this thing out. The other picture is Monica with her brother, Paul. Sara's dad.

Good Day!

So, update on my neighbor. He's still doing radiation. Seems to be handling it well. He's looking great. So, after these rounds of radiation, he will start his cemo on Feb 25th. The end of April he should be completing all tx and if all goes well with his PET scan we will have Donna & Rich back the way we want them. Happy & Healthy!
Other news, my neice Miranda is here, packing for her trip to Brasil for 3 months. This really shows how adult she is. Anna can't be in denial any longer! I am getting older. And she is a young adult. - Time flies! My sister, and nephew, Chili are here and we will be taking her to the airport in just a little while.
So, Miranda, if you are reading this. Please start a blog so I can track you- K???

Prayer's needed

For those of you that know my neighbors, Rich & Donna, prayers are needed at this time.
Rich has been diagnosed with Lung cancer. I will keep you all posted, but please pray for him in this horrible time for them. It will be greatly appreciated.
Donna plays bunco with us girls. So, she will not be playing for the time being.

So, after searching & searching I finally found my account info.

What a relief, I thought I was out of the blogger's world 4-ever!

Thanks to fellow bloggers Crystal & Christy for the little push I needed to get inspired.

By the way both your blog's are great. Next move is to post comments on your pages.

2008 Arrives!

Well, lesson learned today. Always, hit the save button!
I just wrote the best blog ever! And it disappeared, literally! I hit the "save now", thought i was safe. but its gone. Anyways, here I go again,
We brought the New Year in with a finished kitchen floor!
The weekend before New Years we thought we'd take the dogs up to the snow, somehow managing to head into Reno and shop! For those of you who haven't been to Reno in awhile there is great shopping! We found a new shopping area, everything a person could need. We ate at BJ's brewery, enjoying our Tatonka stout. MMMmmm good. Always, great food too. Meanwhile, our friends Terri & Rick were heading to Reno so we thought we'd surprise them and get a room where they were staying. (La Quinta) they take animals so Sierra and Luci enjoyed trip too. Ours nephew's Mike and Shane drove down from Oregon, stayed with us in Reno before heading over to our house on New Years Eve. We originally planned on going out to do something after dinner. But, after eating a little to much thought we'd just visit at home. (sleep) Brought in the New Year with a kiss from my honey, and turned in for the night. Pretty exciting huh?? Well, Shane was visiting from Okinawa on his way to Iraq. That crazy boy! I wanted to tie him up to a chair and not let him go. We're wishing him a safe trip. He will be over there for a year working. I think he will be working on Hummer's. We just all want him to be safe and not wonder around visiting foraners.
As far as 2008 weather goes, it has been crazy! Lots of snow in the Sierras, which means rain down here. We needed it. And boy we got it! Last Friday was crazy. Of course the only Friday Erin and I were going to go skiing, decided to storm like crazy, I think it was the storm of the decade. It was so scary I called my dad at 6:15 in the morning, he thought I was exaggerating a bit only to notice his power was out. Those of you who live around here know I was not exaggerating! It was scary! The winds were sustained at 65 to 70 mph all day! Trees down and power out everywhere. So no we didn't go skiing. Maybe next Friday? How did we ever live without electricity & blowdryers?? Lots of cute people everywhere!
For interesting news, on the way home from work the other day I heard this song I liked on the radio. And the DJ commented that this was the new "Upcoming star from his home town, Eureka", I remember thinking thats cool and mentioned it to Erin when I got home. Then this last Wednesday night at bunco that song came on and Megan said that this was her new song on her MYSPACE page. I even told her that I was going to steal it from her. Only to find out from by nephew, Aaron, that, that song "Love Song" by Sara Bareilles, Hmmmm, Bareilles, sounds familiar, DUH...is Monni & Daves neice. Monica's brother Pauls daughter. Very Cool! I remember them being so excited years ago when she opened with the Anthem for a Dodgers game. I remember her showing us the video. So, anyways if you get a chance download and support her! Its a great song.
Well, I will try and keep up this posting thing. Hopefully this one will be saved!
You girls out there, you know the ones, Crystal, Christy, Casey I need blog help!!
